Corteks is made by one person. Email reaches him directly, and there is no ticket system in between.
Get in touch
Write in whatever detail suits you. If something is broken, the two things that help most are what you were doing and roughly when, because that is usually enough to find it in the logs.
Expect a reply within two working days. If it takes longer than that, it is because the answer needed work, not because the email was missed.
Your subscription
Corteks Pro is $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year. Every account starts with a free trial, and nothing is charged when you sign up.
Subscriptions are bought inside the app and billed through your Apple ID. They renew automatically until cancelled.
To cancel, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, then Corteks. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves the rest of the paid period intact. Corteks cannot cancel it for you, because Apple owns the billing relationship.
Refunds are handled by Apple rather than by us, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
What happens when the trial ends
Capture pauses until you subscribe. Nothing is deleted and nothing is locked away. Every thought you have already captured stays readable, searchable and exportable, for free, for as long as the account exists.
Your thoughts, and who can read them
We can read them, and that is a deliberate design decision rather than an oversight. A service that cannot read your thoughts cannot write you a weekly reading about them, cannot ground a conversation in them, and cannot notice that you have circled the same subject four times this month.
Corteks is not end-to-end encrypted, and we would rather say so here than let you assume otherwise. There is no advertising and no tracking. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is stored and who else touches it.
Getting your data out
Open Profile in the app and choose the export. It emails you a download link. This works whether or not you subscribe, and it costs nothing.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app. See deleting your data for exactly what goes and when.
Voice capture
Speech is turned into text by your phone's own dictation, and we never receive the audio — only the text it produces. If dictation is not working, check that Corteks has microphone and speech recognition permission in the Settings app.
Something is wrong with a reading
The AI is allowed to say less, and sometimes it says nothing at all. A reading with no observations is not a failure: an app that always has something profound ready teaches you inside a week that none of it means anything.
If a reading is wrong rather than quiet, send it to us. That is the kind of thing worth fixing.
Who runs Corteks
Corteks is run by Sanad Shegem, an individual, at Reem Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
